In a commonwealth that has known only peace for generations, code-bound Criers are the sole arbiters of Truth. Before Dylan Crier can complete the final customs of his order, he discovers that an invading army has slaughtered every man and boy in Crossmont. When he tries to sound the alarm, local officials cast him as an imposter while politicians use his Truth to advance their own agendas. The Code permits Dylan only an impartial telling of the Truth. To save Rhivien, he must decide whether to remain the neutral Crier his order demands or reveal his magic and compel the Guardians of Rhivien to act—risking the Criers’ authority when Rhivien needs it most.

Trust Your Rubber

I love the outdoors and especially playing in the outdoors. I love the freedom, the views, the challenge, and the action.

In simpler times, I’d spend most of my time at some outdoor crag, roped up and encouraging friends to the top. While belaying my partner as she climbed through the crux of a challenging climb, I shouted what I thought was a particularly apt encouragement: “Trust Your Rubber!” She fell, I caught her, and we both laughed. 

It took another twenty years of joking, encouraging, and falls before I realized that Trust Your Rubber was more than a fun way to get someone to trust their gear and skills to get through outdoor challenges. So here it is—our own outdoor lifestyle brand in its infancy. Let’s see where we can go when we trust our rubber.
